CBC Going Places is a photo competition where bimonthly winners, as per selected by the Cape Brewing Company judging panel, will receive a case of CBC craft beer, delivered by League of Beers.

Competition entries open on 15 May 2014 and close at 23:59pm on 31 December 2014 (“the end date”).

To enter the competition the entrant must be 18 years or older on 15 May 2014.

What we are looking for…

Entrants need to share a photo of a Cape Brewing Company beer in a scenic environment with a beautiful view or at a clearly identifiable landmark e.g. Table Mountain, Eiffel Tower, London Bridge.

How to enter:

1)    Post the photo on the CBC Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/capebrewingco) including the hashtag #CBCgoingplaces  OR

2)    Post the photo to your Twitter account and mention the CBC Twitter handle @CapeBrewingCo and include the hashtag #CBCgoingplaces

A winner will be selected every two months with random winners selected for the duration of the campaign.

Winners

The winners will then be chosen by Cape Brewing Company’s judging panel, based on the originality, authenticity, impact of the photo. The winning photos will be those that best communicate the concept of “travelling” and showing a CBC beer in a beautiful setting. The winners will be selected on the last day of the months of June 2014, August 2014, October 2014 and December 2014 and announced by the 10th of the following month on the CBC website www.capebrewing.co.za.

Entries are open to the public as per the Competition Rules as stated below. Random winners will also be selected during the campaign and will receive an electronic voucher for a complimentary Standard CBC tasting at the brewery in Paarl, for two people to the value of R50. The voucher will be valid until 31 March 2015 and will not be transferable or exchangeable for cash. The voucher does not include any transport to or from the CBC brewery and the recipient needs to present a valid South African ID or passport with the vouchers as well as the unique reference number printed on the voucher, to qualify for the free tasting. No responsibility is accepted for vouchers that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that he/she has read and will abide by the rules set out in Competition Rules below.

Prizes

The bi-monthly winner will receive one case of CBC beer (12 bottles) delivered to them by League of Beers. Random winners will receive a beer tasting for 2 people at Cape Brewing Company in Paarl to the value of R50.

Competition Terms & Conditions

It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that he/she has read and will abide by the competition rules set out below.

To enter the competition the entrant must be 18 years or older on 15 May 2014.

The bi-monthly winners will be announced on the 10th of July 2014, 10th of September 2014, 10th of November and 10th of January 2014 on the CBC website www.capebrewing.co.za. Random winners will be announced on the CBC Facebook and Twitter accounts for the duration of the campaign.

Each entry must focus on any aspect related to showing Cape Brewing Company beer in a scenic environment with a beautiful view or at a clearly identifiable landmark.

Each entry must include the location of the photo and a brief description of the setting.

The copyright of all entered submissions will remain with the entrant, who confirms that he/she is the holder of such copyright. Each entrant grants Cape Brewing Company a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, publish and communicate the entered submissions to the public by any means and exhibit entered submissions and copies thereof in all media throughout the world. Cape Brewing Company reserves the right to publish the submissions and names of competition entrants on Cape Brewing Company ‘s Facebook page, Twitter account and website. Cape Brewing Company will obtain written authorisation from the winners should Cape Brewing Company wish to use the pictures submitted by them for the Cape Brewing Company website as header images or for any other Cape Brewing Company marketing material. No remuneration will be offered.

To be eligible for the competition as well as the Cape Brewing Company beer tasting vouchers entrants must reside in the Republic of South Africa and be over the age of 18 years on 15 May 2014. Cape Brewing Company’s employees, their immediate families and/or agents involved in the competition may not enter. The prizes and vouchers must be taken (or rejected) as awarded, cannot be transferred or deferred and may not be converted to cash. The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The winners will be notified via Facebook or Twitter. If the profile provided by the entrant is no longer valid he/she will forfeit the prize and/or voucher. Another winner will then be selected by Cape Brewing Company’s judging panel. The prize is exclusively for the winner and is neither transferable nor exchangeable. Vouchers not claimed within three months after receipt thereof will be forfeited.

No responsibility is accepted for entries which are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason. Only entries via the Cape Brewing Company Facebook Page OR with the hashtag #CBCgoingplaces on Twitter and including the CBC Twitter handle (@CapeBrewingCo) will be accepted. Cape Brewing Company reserves the right to amend the competition end date at any time. Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.

Cape Brewing Company will not share contact details of entrants and/or other parties. Cape Brewing Company will endeavor to send vouchers and the main prizes within one month of the competition end date, but cannot guarantee this delivery time. By entering into this competition, each entrant agrees to receive future correspondence from Cape Brewing Company. By entering this competition the entrant accepts the full terms, conditions and rules of this competition and agrees to abide by these rules and any requirements and/or proceedings.
